This privacy policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information and procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy.
Interpretation:
i) ‘You’ or ‘Your’ means the person using the SchoolMatcher service, for themselves or on behalf of a third party.
ii) A third party may or may not be related to the user.
iii) ‘We’ means M&D Europe(UK) Ltd trading as SchoolMatcher.
1. The Information we collect and how we use it
When you apply to use our service you are required to provide us with personal information in order that we can best understand your needs and interests and provide you with a better service. We need to know your name, name of the prospective student, postal address, e-mail address, telephone(s) number, nationality and other information relating to your education and aspirations.
We gather this information to allow us to provide you with services and to help us better understand your needs and interests in order to fulfil our service to you. The relevant information is then used by us and passed on to the educational establishments with whom we believe; at our discretion; suit the requirements as you have specified when submitting your details to us.
If there is any information that you do not wish to be passed on to other schools and colleges, you are advised to inform us at the point of submitting these details to us, or separately, stating the relevant reference number to: admin@schoolmatcher.co.uk
We will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others.
We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.
We may also wish to provide you with information about special features on our website or any other service or products we think may be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this information, please send a blank e-mail message to legal@schoolmatcher.co.uk

2. Our use of cookies and other information gathering technologies
Cookies are not currently used on our websites.
3. How we protect your information
The internet is not a secure medium. However we have put in place various security procedures and we have appropriate physical and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Although we do our best to protect our systems with firewalls, passwords and other security measures, due to the dynamic nature of internet security threats that may arise, we can not guarantee that information that you submit to us will be totally safe.
We also keep your information confidential. Our internal procedures cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information.

4. Sale of business
If the business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.

If any of the information that you have provided to us changes, for example if you change your e-mail address, name or payment details or if you wish to cancel your registration, please let us know the correct details by sending an e-mail to admin@schoolmatcher.co.uk or by contact us by post or telephone using the contact details as shown on our website(s).

By submitting your information you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy. If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times.
